About

ECONOMIC SURVIVOR .NET reports issues arising from our downturn economy as more of us are having to make or take fundamental decisions about the directions of our lives. From the machinations of globalism to the economics of the poorhouse, the impact of money on our lives surely demands attention.

ECONOMIC SURVIVOR .NET survives on fresh air and donations, remaining independent from any corporate interests or political influence.

My name is Russell Cavanagh and I publish this site. A print and digital journalist specialising in welfare law, civil rights and money issues on and off since the 1990s, I’ve also lived on welfare, run small businesses, worked with national pro-democracy campaigns, and for 11 years was a senior money adviser and Legal Aid supervisor in not-for-profit advice agencies and solicitors practice.
